Sleeping Samurai
Sleeping Samurai is an amazing group of people. We have seen perform at a variety of events. We are now working more closely together because of the unique service they bring to the table. Everyone knows about Barbarian Battles and the AMT Guard rule set. We have seen this all over the place. However, the Japanese side of these events and fandom is still being left out. Caleb Snow, the founder of this company promotes heavily the Samurai and Budo aspects of their craft. With a deep love of Japanese Martial Arts they portray this effort in every convention they focus on.
Here is a listing of some of the things they bring to the table:
*One-on-one training with whatever weapon a customer purchases from Sleeping Samurai.
*Choreographed fight routines with multiple endings.
*Rave battles (either choreographed or tournaments).
*Yakuza Army - An army of people willing to be "interactive entertainers" for skits or as part of the entertainment in the convention
*Panels teaching people about the history of the Katana and other weapons.
*Panels teaching people about the history of the Samurai and Geisha.
*Panels teaching the proper stances and strikes when using the different Samurai weapons.
