All volunteers must be 15 years old or older to be able to become a volunteer. The work hours for anyone ages 15-17 years old will be anywhere between 8:00 am – 9:00 pm. The max number of hours that anyone ages 15-17 years old can work in a day is 8 hours a day a total of 24 hours for the whole convention weekend.

As for the volunteers who are of ages 18 years or older they can work any hours of the day and as long as they are needed or if the demand of the convention requires it or a fellow staff member needs help.

The beauty of being a volunteer compared to being on staff is having more flexibility with your schedule. As a staff member there has to be a certain number in each dept. but not with Volunteers! We use plan on using volunteers in many different facets of A&G Ohio this time around. You could help with Special Events, then turn around and help security for an hour. Come back after some time off and be put with Main Events, Lounge, or any other department.

Each volunteer will stop by operations and be given instructions on where and what their job is going to be. Each hour-two you will be sent back to convention ops if not needed, wanting to change it up or you are wanting to take some time off. The more time you work, the more swag and perks you get. It’s that simple!

How do I sign up?

• You must have pre-registered for an A&G Ohio 2012 weekend badge (Meaning you have paid attendance for all three days).
• You must pick up your badge from Registration before checking in at OPS.
• Visit OPS after picking up your badge and have your picture taken, information taken and explained how to track your hours.

Hours for Perks:
Good deeds never go unrewarded, and here in Volunteers we make sure you get shinies for your hard work. Every 4 hours you volunteer you get a gift (4, 8, and 12-hour mark). It is also a tradition here in Volunteers that we give prizes to those that went above and beyond the call of duty as a volunteer. How these prizes are won are kept secret.

• 4 Hours will allow you into the staff/volunteer Meet and Greet With All The Convention Guests
  10 hours you will be given access to the A&G Ohio Staff Food Suite
• You must complete at least 12 hours of volunteering to qualify for reimbursement. Refunds will be sent to the mailing address you provided when you signed up for volunteering.
