Michael McConnohie

Michael McConnohie:
Michael McConnohie’s career in anime actually began before the beginning, with the original Transformers (as Tracks and Cosmos). Later he would also appear in the dubbed version of Transformers: Robots in Disguise as Ironhide and Hotshot.

He was there during the Harmony Gold years of Robotech (Rolf Emerson) and Captain Harlock (Harlock), through the Streamline films Vampire Hunter D (as both D himself and his demon left hand) and Fist of the North Star (Shin), into such modern-day fare as The Big O (Schwarzwald), Paranoia Agent (Det. Ikari), Hare + Guu (Village Elder), MÄR (Babbo) and Disgaea (Captain Gordon). Michael can be heard in Bleach (as Kuroudo, Ryuken Ishida and Shawlong Qufang) and Code Geass (as the Emperor Charles zi Britannia). He plays several roles in the upcoming Animen – the first full length 3-D animation feature film produced in China.

Games? He’s all over World of Warcraft — The Lich King, Uther, Kel’ Thuzad, King Ymiron and many others in Wrath of the Lich King, Magister Rommath, the dragon Deathwing and others in the Cataclysm expansion. (And, yes, he was the voice of The Lich King in the Ozzy Osbourne WoW commercial.) Michael is The Voice of the Agency in Crackdown 1 and 2. The Crew Chief in Mod Nation. Gen. Keating in Ghost Recon 2 and Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. Captain Gordon in the Disgaea series. Margulis in the Xenosaga series. Astaroth in the Soulcalibur series. – And who could ever forget his heartwarming turn as that master of mucus in Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure?

On the other side of the microphone, Michael wrote and directed the English-language dubs of the Russian sci-fi hits Night Watch and Day Watch, as well as scripting the English version of Clint Eastwood’s Letters From Iwo Jima. He has written for many anime projects, including Transformers and Digimon.

On camera, he has been in projects ranging from The Gong Show to cult classic films like FROG-G-G! and Scream Bloody Murder as well as soap operas like Passions and General Hospital. He has appeared in the Star Trek fan series Odyssey and Helena Chronicles.
