A&G ’12 Trackmania² Open

For years, the game “Trackmania” and its predecessors have been a large part of the worldwide competitive gaming scene. Now, the excitement of the world’s most popular racing game comes alive, in one of the largest competitions held on North American soil. It all goes down in Cincinnati, Ohio at Animation and Gaming Ohio 2012! Trackmania²: Canyon is the first iteration of the game’s full sequel. Cars jump, drift, and defy gravity all for the sake of being first across the finish line! This combined with the beautiful graphics bring home a Massively Multiplayer experience like no other. The A&G Trackmania² Open is proud to be backed with sponsorship from Ubisoft, Intel, and DSGW.de, to make this the largest TM2 competition in the United States.

Please note we have modified the rules for the semifinals. ONLY 5 tracks (change from 7) will be played, and the point limit per map is 31 (change from 41), since a finalist has to “win” to clinch the map victory.
The map rotation will be released late Friday.

*Semifinals, February 4th (Online): The top 16 competitors from the preliminary round will compete in one of 2 semifinal sections.

*LAN FINALS, March 10th: The top 4 competitors from each semifinal matchup (8 in total) will compete in a live, LAN Final on the A&G Ohio stage. All finalists will receive FREE entry to the convention space for the weekend
** Many more prizes will be announced within the coming days and weeks, and we have some great ones lined up already!

Track packs containing the online competition tracks will be available 1 week before each round. More details regarding rules, regulations, specific event times, and other related items will be made available very soon! In the mean time, start training and we’ll hope to see you in Cincinnati in March!

Prizes:
Intel will be supplying Core I7 processors for the Top 3 in the final. In addition, a much larger prize to be announced within the next couple weeks… stay tuned. ;)

Ubisoft will also provide each finalist with t-shirts and a free copy of TM2 to give to a friend, girlfriend, grandmother.
